The Croft “Large” kit, also available in both 1-story and 2-story configurations, is the ideal choice for spacious, full-time living. Economizing new construction is simpler than anyone would like to admit—build a bigger box, put a sloping hat on it to keep the rain and snow off, and insulate it with locally grown, bio-based materials. We love the “L” for its flexibility and its voluminous, almost luxurious feel of spaciousness (that the first one we ever built got its own rock-climbing wall should be testament enough).
Key features include Bio-based Insulation, Climate-Friendly Construction, Double-Duty Windows.
This design is available in 2 configurations, including L: Contemporary and L: Single-level.
Established in 2020, Croft delivers factory-built homes.

Est. $89K–$178K
Croft prices kits at $30–$34 per square foot of building envelope — the wall + roof panel surface area (3,940–4,178 sq ft across variants), not the home's living area (~1,336–1,475 sq ft). That published rate across the kit’s published variants spans $118K–$142K, widened ±25% for measurement uncertainty.
Estimated wall + roof panel kit — excludes foundation, floor panels, and interior finishes.
What's behind this estimate
- walls + roof panels only (excludes floor panels)
- gross wall area incl. openings
- pitch/eave measured from kit elevations
- estimated per published variant (variant footprint + floors)
- +/-~25% band
Estimated wall + roof panel-kit cost, derived from Croft's published $30-34 per envelope-SF rate and this design's measured geometry. The range spans the kit's published variants (each variant's own footprint and floor count); some kits can be built longer than their published variants, which would raise the cost above the estimated maximum. Excludes foundation, floor panels, and interior finishes. Croft's final price depends on your window and finish choices - as Croft says, 'you control that more than we do.' Treat as a planning range (+/-~25%), not a quote.
Per variant: L: Contemporary $89K–$167K · L: Single-level $94K–$178K
To finish the whole home, owners report ≈ $501K–$1.34M (owner-reported — not a manufacturer quote)
